Curious about the environment around you? Looking to learn a new skill? Attend our educational workshop, Getting Familiar with Nature: An Intro to Using Nature ID Apps, on Saturday, April 5th to get started with identifying the natural world! Participants will learn about some of the common apps used to identify birds, plants, fungi, and more during an informational session, then go on a hike around the EEC to practice using the apps (and enjoy some of our beautiful emerging spring wildflowers!).
This program is intended for beginners – no prior experience with using identification apps is necessary!
Participants should plan to bring a smartphone or tablet to practice with the apps. Hiking boots are recommended, as our trails can get muddy in the springtime.
Registration for this program is $1 per person. Advance registration is limited and required by Tuesday, April 1st.
Recommended for ages 8+
